Is the sudden, sharp (or should I say) stabbing pain at the back of the head an immediate cause of concern? If yes, in how much time should I get this condition treated? Is this a sign of tumor, inflammation or haemmorhage?

This depends on the duration of your headache and any associated symptoms. It is difficult to comment on what the underlying pathology (if there is any) without imaging of the brain/upper cervical spine.
