Need advice from Medical oncologist.
Radiation onco suggested to skip chemo tablets and only do radiation for rectal cancer for my Dad. He feels patient is under nourished and may not take it well. Onco surgeon feels atleast reduced dose should be given along with radiation. Need assistance from a medico onco's to come to consensus. He underwent a colostomy surgery to aid his eating habits.

Dear User The decision to continue or discontinue chemotherapy concurrently with radiotherapy has to be taken by the medical oncologist only after seeing the patient and his reports. Concurrent chemo radiotherapy is better than only radiotherapy but associated with increased toxicity.
