Nan excela pro 2
Hi, my son is 6.5 months now(formula fed from beginning). I shifted from NAN EXCELA PRO 1 to NAN EXCELA PRO 2 once he completed 6 months. But from the time we started it, he is constipated. He finds it really hard to pass stools and he poops only once a day and it will be very hard stools. Also, we have started with solids for him - ragi sere, veggies pure, banana, apple, orange, chikko. What should i do? Should i change the formula powder? If yes, which one?

Hi...give him water in between feeds..give him a fruit daily or fruit juice...it takes some time for ur kid to adapt to change in the formula..if it’s troubling him so much then consider formula change and or laxative

Hello First of all breast milk is superior and it also helps in relieving constipation. So give breast milk preferably upto 2yrs of age if possible. Change formula and give any one which is suitable for his age and wait for any changes in stool passing. Give complementary feeding like rice/wheat milk porridge along with breastfeeding. You may give fruits also like you have mentioned

Constipation is normal in a child who is on a formula feed. Increase liquid diet now. Reduce formula milk, as baby is more than 6 months old. Give fruit juices; all vegetables soups.rice water, dal, all this will definitely help in reducing constipation.
