Nail infection&matrix grw

Asked for Male, 19 Years

In my 3 fingers above nail is swelled and puss also some time comes out with blood and red colour thing Is coming out from cuticles I think it's Germinal matrix. I happened after my road accident. What should I do I am taking antifungal medicine and doctor whom I consulted is doing cotrization.help me please.

Accepted Answer

It is an infection of the nail and surrounding tissues called Paronychia . It can either be bacterial or fungal . You seem to have bacterial so a course of antibiotics will be required first .
