Myopia and gym
Helow doc.. my friend is highly myopic in both eyes.. he uses contact lenses in both eyes. When he got checked for retina, it was normal but doc told him not to lift heavy weights. he regularly does weight lifting in gym and suddenly this kind of suggestion. can u explain? how much weight can be safely lifted??

in high myopia the retina gets weaker hence to avoid the possibility of retinal detachment weight lifting and jumping must be avoided.
