My wife is a GERD patient.
She has been taking Ganaton 50 mg thrice and Itopride tab thrice a day. And She is /was fine. But, now doctor has changed the medicines which are not working on her. She continued the above two medicines for three months. My question is can she continue ganaton 50 mg twice a day instead of Rantac suspension for some more timi? She is following doctors instructions as advised for not to take water after meals and not to go to bed for two hours after meals. Please suggest me how far ganaton is

Hi sir, if this is a intractable GERD , then better to go ahead with 24 hrs.PH MANOMETRY. which will define the number of reflux / nature of reflux and after the test of the score value is high, it's better to get a Laparoscopic repair of sphincter done called NISSAN FUNDOPLICATION.
