My father is addicted to alcohol
Since past few years I've been noticing increasing consumption of alcohol by my father. It has taken a huge toll on his health. He has been diagnosed with diabetes and the doctor has suggested to control alcohol consumption. But my father has not done anything about it. Day by day I just notice more and more aggression, yelling, misbehavior with my mother. The entire family is disturbed and it is directly affecting my mother. I'm worried about his health both physical and mental. I don't know how to convince him to stop drinking even after all the efforts I've taken before. He is least interested in anything anymore, starts drinking from afternoon to night. Please help.

Behavioural changes might be due to alcohol induced mood symptoms... Undue suspiciousness towards wife and subsequent altercations might be due to Othello's syndrome which is quite common in alcohol abusers...
