My 8 month baby scratching her ear
My 8 month old baby she scratches her ear on and off it seems like she is having itching She puts her finger inside the ear like adults and itches. I showed to paediatrician but he gave decongestant to her for 5 days which made my baby very sleepy so I discontinued it What should i do now Should i consult ent for this

It could be simply because of ear wax. It is a very common symptom how babies express due to wax in ears. Rarely it can be due to fungal infection as well. As it is 8months old baby, I suggest you to take her to ENT and confirm if it is wax or fungal infection and then start the ear drops cause ear drops for wax is different from that for fungal infection
