MTP at 8+ weeks
Hi, I underwent an MTP for a 8 weeks foetus due to non viability reasons. I was given mifepristone 200 mg first, after 48 hours 3*200 mg of misprostol was administered vaginally. Bleeding started after 2 hours and flow was normal. Very little cramping and pain happened. I didn't expell any chunks of tissues (as expected through my vagina). The cramps and bleeding subsided by next morning (within 20 hours). I want to know whether the drug failed to work or was a higher dose required? Can this dose be repeated anytime soon again? I don't want to undergo a D & C Procedure so please suggest a suitable option. N.B : Please note I had undergone another MTP in 2014 by taking 200 mg mifepristone and 4*200 mg of misoprostol orally and aborted a 11 week foetus (no heartbeat, non viable) successfully within 24 hours. No issues whatsoever happened at that time.

Hello.. Well dear its a routine that you need to get an abdomen and pelvis scan done to see if there are any retained products of conception...So I would suggest you to meet  an obstetrician after the scan...Thank you
