Long term use of Moxifloxacin can cause dryness. Side effect is mainly dryness and corneal deposits. Long term use also cause a problem in which, when you actually have an infection, moxifloxacin won't be able to help.

Moxifloxacin eye drop is antibiotic.  It should be used for a specified period (as advised by your ophthalmologist) and then stopped. It shouldn't be used for long duration as it has side effects and also can cause drug resistance.
