Moxifloxacin eye drop is antibiotic. It should be used for a specified period (as advised by your ophthalmologist) and then stopped.
It shouldn't be used for long duration as it has side effects and also can cause drug resistance.

Long term use of Moxifloxacin can cause dryness.
Side effect is mainly dryness and corneal deposits.
Long term use also cause a problem in which, when you actually have an infection, moxifloxacin won't be able to help.
