Any oral ulcers will Heal within 7 to 10 days. Continuation of an ulcer beyond that duration or recurrent episodes of oral ulcers warrants a proper clinical evaluation so that other secondary causes can be evaluated and the treatment can be instituted accordingly. A detailed clinical history including habits like tobacco usage in any form or history of medications also needs to be evaluated. Consult an oral pathologist for these queries.
And another suggestion would be to understand the role of multivitamins in oral ulcers. Although multi vitamins are good for general Physical health and also maintain the integrity of oral mucosa but, contrary to common belief, they do not cure any ulcers. It is sad that sometimes even doctors recommend the same but they have no role whatsoever in the healing process of the ulcers that have already formed.
