My father is 62 years old and he has been complaining of execss salaiva. What could be the reason and is it a threat ?

Excessive saliva usually not a sign of any disease. Most commonly it occurs due to lack of frequent swallowing which normally occurs involuntaryly.
Next Steps
Kindly advise him swallow frequently so that saliva does not get collected. Voluntary swallowing is only treatment in most of the milder cases of excessive salivation
