Can someone please brief me regarding montaux test. what is it for .And if this test is positive what does it indicate.

Hello, I understand your feeling and your concern towards health. Mantoux test is done for to see a reaction between the antibodies and antigen and the reaction is shown in the form of a rash and the extent of infection is based on the size of the rash. android reagent is nothing but a protein related to TB bacteria. This test is done to know whether you have already infested with the bacteria. And developed antibodies to it. If this is positive then you are suffering with TH which might be symptomatic or asymptomatic. Consult your doctor for further information. Thank you
