Montair side effects on lungs
Are there any side effects of montair lc / montair tablets on the lungs ?i have a history of pleural effusion 15 years back but the entire treatment was taken post that no such issues were observed . Now I am prescribed montair to be taken for 4 months since my IGE level was elevated and also had moderate cough . Will consumption of montair have any side effects on lungs ?is it a safe tablet to be taken for 5 months ?

Montair LC contains montelukast and levocitrizine which are mainly anti allergic medications. They are relatively safe for long term use with very rare lung side effects. But just because your IgE is elevated it may not be right to take the medication for so long. Finding the cause of the elevated IgE is important.
