If you have taken complete course of anti rabies vaccine , there is nothing to worry. Just clean the area with antiseptic.

If your last full rabies vaccine course was completed on 3rd March 2025, and now on 17th April you had a possible scratch (uncertain if by monkey or shoe bite), then: Based on WHO Guidelines: Since you're previously vaccinated, and it's within 3 months, you don’t need the full course again. However, if there was any chance of exposure (skin peeled + monkey nearby), it’s advised to take 2 booster doses on Day 0 and Day 3 for safety. You can consult a nearby doctor to assess the wound, but taking boosters is a safe and preventive step.

**Dear Patient,**  Thank you for sharing your concern. Here’s a clear breakdown of your situation and recommendations:  *Key Facts:* 1. **Rabies Vaccination History:**     - You completed a full course of rabies vaccine on **3rd March**.     - The vaccine provides immunity for **at least 3 months** (often longer) after completion.  2. Recent Incident (17th April):    - Uncertainty about whether it was a **monkey scratch or shoe bite**.     - Minor skin peeling noted, but no clear evidence of animal contact.  Medical Guidance 1. No Need for Repeat Vaccination:     - Since you completed the vaccine **<2 months ago**, your immune protection is still active.     - WHO guidelines state that booster doses are unnecessary*within 3 months of a full course.  2. Wound Care:    - Clean the area thoroughly with soap and water.     - Apply antiseptic (e.g., povidone-iodine) to prevent infection.  3. When to Seek Help:    - If the wound shows signs of infection (redness, swelling, pus).     - If you develop fever, headache, or neurological symptoms (extremely rare post-vaccination).  Consultation Offer: For peace of mind or if symptoms arise, you can connect with me on WhatsApp at **Eight Zero Zero Nine Eight Two One Three Three Two
