Mitral Valve prolapse with regurgitation is a relatively common Mitral Valve problem. People with this problem have symptoms like you are having. Please consult Cardiologist for starting medication. You have to regularly do Echo for monitoring the status of Regurgitation. If it worsens to a certain degree, you will need surgery for correcting it, which is done now by Minimally invasive techniques, i.e., keyhole surgery, with good success rates. We regularly do these operations.
Next Steps
Consult Cardiologist for starting medication for symptoms.
Health Tips
Please don't be unduly worried with this diagnosis and focus on leading a normal life. The treatment of this condition is well standardized with good success.
