Misuse of Nuva Ring. My next period?

Hi I've been using Nuva ring for a total of 5 days. I inserted the nuva ring the day after my period. That was Tuesday morning. Thursday morning I had unprotected sex. This was my first time having sex as well. I know that I was supposed to have protected sex for the first 7 days so I got worried. My partner didn't ejaculate inside me but still I was concerned. Two hours after we had sex I bought Plan B and took the pill right away. Am I still safe to have unprotected sex next week? Or should I use a condom until my next Nuva ring insertion after my next period? It's just that my partner has trouble using a condom. He can't seem to stay erect and theres always been too many complications. We've never had sex with a condom before. Which is why I started using the Nuva ring.
