My doctor gave me progesterone (heragest) for 10 days. been taking it for 3 nights.. im delayed for about 17 days. my last bleeding was feb 21. she said that if im preg, the progesterone med will help to stick the baby in my tummy. if not, i will bleed maybe 1-2 weeks after taking medication. i took home pt but turns out to be negative. i just want to make sure if im pregnant or not.. may i ask if it's okay to have serum pregnancy test even if i'm taking this med? does this progesterone med affects my hcg in blood? need answers. sorry if i can't explain more specific. not used to speak english frequently. please doctors hear my question. thank u so much.

Hi there,
Yes it is ok to tk Serum B HCG test, it is not affected by the pills you are taking.
Withdrawal bleed in response to the progesterone pills will take around a week to act of pregnancy test comes to be negative.
Next Steps
Visit a gynaecologist if you don't get withdrawal in 7-10days
