Misogynistic characters
Hello doctor, Right from my kidhood I had developed the characteristics of misogyny. I lost my mother when I was six months old. I have been brought up by my single father with the help of my grandparents in an environment where people won't treat women equally. Since my kindergarten days, I respect only male teachers and never mind female teachers. Still now it continues. But now I'm experiencing little problems because of this misogynistic character. No matter wherever I go, it haunts me. Eg. College, social events, social networks. I find everything wrongful. I get uncontrollable anger when I see women in high social ranks. I couldn't tolerate women commanding things, women dressing up fashionably etc.I sometimes try to injure myself or others due to this uncontrollable anger.I couldn't mention all my symptoms in this platform. I know I won't get cured here... I just wanted to ask suggestions from doctors here. Is this curable? I need help regarding this issue. Guide me. Thank you.

Misogyny is hatredness towards females. Many reasons to develop it. According to the above mentioned history, you have developed this because of the environment you have been brought up in and without mother and siblings around in your childhood. Even teachers also play vital role in shaping your attitude. It is definitely treatable. Consult psychiatrist, attend counseling. Behavioural therapy wil help you.
