Minor scratch in white of eye by pet cat
I have a pet cat. While in my hands, she accidentally stretched and her nails poked me slightly in the corner of the eye. There was no bleeding, but the white of the eye has become slightly reddish in that area. I've read up that there could be possible infections that can happen and that there are OTC eye-drops for the prevention of that. Could you please tell the names of these eye-drops to prevent any potential infections. Thanks.

Ignore the injury if there is no pain. It is just a small blood vessel which has burst . The blood clot will disappear in 10-15 days. Maskatieyeclinic Opposite Charni Road station east, Mumbai

Please consult an ophthalmologist immediately if u develop red eye/discharge from eyes/ pain in eye/ blurry vision/ fever /swelling/ headache/ body aches. Please start zaha (azithromycin)1% eyedrops 3 times a day in affected eye for 5 day. You may require oral azithromycin(if no known allergies) based on the amount of damage and symptoms.
