Milk supply decreased
Hi Dr,
From yesterday I have suddenly noticed that there is no milk supply from my left breast. I have a 8 months old daughter. I had fed her properly till day before yesterday from it and there was ample milk produced from both sides. I have suddenly become lopsided. Need help

Hello.
It's good to know that some one gives priority to breast feeding still at 8th Month.
Usually 6 months exclusive breastfeeding is necessary.
After that you can start your infant to fed on top feed along with breast feeding.
Next Steps
just check
1. Is your nipple sore/cracked.?
2. Is your breast getting engorged or not if any swelling?
If one of the above been found just follow:
1. ANTIBIOTICS
2. Analgesics
3. Temporary withhold breast feeding with manual evacuation of affected breast.
If none of the above issue please follow:
1. Continue sucking / feeding on affected site.
2. Have plenty of fluids.
3. If any painful/ inflamed part in the body use analgesics.
4. You can use Ayurveda Satavari powder with milk empirically.
5. Use Tab. Perinorm 1 TDS FOR 3 DAYS but it has side effects like muscle spasms and involuntary movements.
Health Tips
It's 8 month so you can gradually start weaning also.
