The words mild/moderate/severe should not be in the radiologist's report. CT scans usually under-report the problem as the majority of mucus in your sinuses may be radiolucent so invisible to the radiologist. So, if there is mucosal thickening, you are suffering and disease is present. However, if mucosal thickening is not present, and you are still getting mucus, the disease may still be present, but not in radiologically visible thickening. As your doctor, I will re-examine your nose, and treat you as I trust you and the description of your suffering more than the reports.
