I have got mallet finger.. Due to becuz I was catching a ball.. Doctor suggest for strapping , another doctor suggested for hot water treatment & physiotherapy.. What to do?

I can understand your concern.
You need to go for the splint no doubt about that.
Consult a orthopedic surgeon in person for further evaluation and management.
He will be able to help you further with splinting.
