Microscopic colitis
On esomeprazole for 12 yrs. Diarrhoea for 7 months. If I stop the ppi hiw long will it take for the Diarrhoea to stop? Diarrhoea two to three times a day. What medicine to take? Dosage and for how long? Please help.

Ppi can cause diarrhoea as side effects but we can't be sure that this current episode is due to that The diarrhoea related to ppi might take 1-2 weeks to reduce after the drug has been stopped, however if any other associated complications are present like sibo it might take longer time
