Pre exposure prophylaxis for malaria are many but it depends on how long your stay in nigeria going to be. Most regims say to start 1-2 weeks before visiting and continuing upto 4 weeks after return. But if you are shifting permanently then better is to take a simoke 1 week course and deal with it if it happens. And in case of general medicine there can be a lot of options depending on your health condition like medicines for fever, headache, pain, acidity etc. But most of the customs specially outside india do not allow medicines without prescription. Therefore it will be wise if you visit a consultant and get a prescription of general medicines you will be carrying.
