We need to do complete evaluation for the stage of the disease. If it's localized to one lung an extrapleural pneumonectomy can be done. However if advanced will need palliative chemotherapy. There is also an advanced technique called aerosolized chemotherapy (PITAC) which can be put in the chest to directly reduce the fluid and also may help in reducing the disease load.
