Father has history of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. As per reports there is no blockage , Echo report is normal . But he has iron, magnesium deficiency in blood reports, rest is normal . He has Hb level of 10.3 due to low
ferritin . For iron he started taking orofer xt . Some patients on social sites report that magnesium citrate 1000 mg / day and L-Taurine supplements have helped them reduce Afib episodes .
Q1. Can my father take above mentioned supplements ( magnesium citrate and L Taurine ) ? If yes , for how long ?
Q2. At present, he is taking cordarone ( amiodarone) , prolomet25 and xarelto 15 . Can he take flecanide / flecarite 50 instead of amioderone / cordarone , since cordarone is very toxic compared to other medicines , as told to us .
Kindly reply to both questions
