Hi. I have a lump on right ear. Inside the flap, at the top. It came, grew, and then shrunk on its own. I saw my GP and I'm on a waiting list to get it dealt with (it first came about a month ago, I think).
Since then, it has grown again and is growing. Just before it started to shrink, the skin went dry and flaky if this offers a clue as to the cause? I've also been under a lot of stress recently after a breakup of a long term relationship.
I've been on the waiting list for 4 weeks, and have been told it'll be another 4 weeks, roughly.
My question is... I'm wondering if it is safe for me to deal with it myself? I.e. Pop it with a pin? Or even buy a scalpel and lance it myself?
I would really really like it gone before this weekend. Because I'm going to an event and I hate how it looks.
4 years ago, I had the same thing on my other ear. It grew, then went away I think. I did go to an NHS walk-in centre... I cant remember if they lanced it or not, unfortunately!
Thanks
