Low grade fever
Hi my 5 year old son has low grade fever since yesterday night. Though he is active and no other problem is there however he doesn't like to take paracetamol syrup. I have tried giving him crocin 240 but he doesn't like flavor of paracetamol syrup. Is there any paracetamol given in the form of tablet? His weight is 13.5 kg.

He requires around 200mg of Paracetamol. So you can give him 1/3rd tablet of paracetamol 650mg every 8 hours, if temperature is more than 99.5F if necessary. Breaking the medicine may be difficult so try another brand and flavor of Paracetamol. There are many ways to find your cold the strips which I can help you with. Do tepid sponging if the fever goes high. Please book an appointment with me to discuss further. Follow me on Instagram @pediatrician_india for more helpful tips ! Take care!

Hello good morning,as your son is active no need to worry for one day low grade fever.Tablets are bitter than syrups. So you try with SYR.FEPANIL(250 mg/5ml) 4 ml every 6 th hourly only if axillary temperature is more than 99 F.The above mentioned syrup is banana flavour.I hope he likes that flavour. For any quieries contact me
