Low EF value
Hi my sister got admitted in a hospital for shortness of breath and she was diagnosed with fluid filled lungs with low EF value. Doctors says she is alright but need to do angiography for low EF value. Please let us know if angiography is safe to do at this stage or do we have any other alternate treatment

Hi..., yes angiography is safe at this time... Left ventricular Ejection fraction is most commonly measured using echocardiography. This non-invasive technique provides good estimates of end-diastolic (EDV) and end-systolic volumes (ESV)..... The ejection fraction is an indicator of the heart's health. If the heart is diseased from a heart attack or another heart condition, the ejection fraction may decrease...Kindly consult your Cardiologist for further advice....
