Life expectancy?
My aunt age 49 has diabetes and now she got diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer with brain, bone(ribs) and few lymph nodes in the abdomen. She is going through chemo, 1 round done. What is the prognosis, how long does she have?

As such , we consider stage 4 disease (disease gone outside the primary site of origin ) , to have bad prognosis - but with the use of some of modern drugs that are available even in stage 4 lung cancer will have good 5 year survival. For using this drugs your mother tumor should have some markers for it positive . If they are positive these new types of drugs called targeted therapy can give good results . Please share the biopsy report , tumor markers test ( IHC) reports as well as the PET CT scan report . Only after considering all these I can give you a conclusive opinion .
