Leucocyte Esterase positive
My 3years son had sudden fever in friday night and stomach pain, fever is coming again after 5-6 hr of taking medicine, he vomits one today I got his urine report showing Leucocyte Esterase and pus cell 8-10 , r doc give Ziprax , is it uti infection? He has no pain doing urine.. report attached..

A urine culture test requires to be done. It may come negative now due to the antibiotics started, but this report is suggestive of a UTI.
Only a urine culture test positive is a positive report for UTI.
Pain is not a mandatory symptom for UTI.
