Leprosy reactions swelling and numbness
My mom is cured for pure nuretic hansen decease and have swelling and numbness in both the hands and feets. She has taken MDT from July 2015 to Dec 2016. But she didn't take MDT in May and June months in 2016. She faced lot of reaction like swelling and some reactions on skin. Now she is not taking MDT but from last one week she has swelling on hands feets and face.
She also has pain in hands and feels tightness. She did not get any improvement in hands and feets after treatment and still facing reactions swelling pain.
Please advise me. whom should I consult now. I am grateful for any kind of suggestions and help.

Greetings - please meet a qualified clinical dermatologist - this query may be tough to treat online alone.
She would need steroids under prescription and monitoring and also probably other immunosuppressants. This is important to avoid any kind of nerve damage that can be permanent. Also make sure that she has taken MDT for atleast 6 to 12 months - as prescribed by the treating doctor.Please see a qualified dermatologist.
