You seem to have suffered from condition known as sudden sensorineural hearing loss. Your reports are not suggestive of vestibular neuritis because of associated sudden loss of hearing. Vestibular neuritis will have only severe giddiness but not hearing loss. This condition should have been treated more aggressively at that time as after so many months the chances of hearing improvement is unlikely
Next Steps
You can use hearing aids if you have significant hearing loss. No other treatment can work at this stage
