Left carotid artery on neck pulsating
Im a 16 year old female. Ive noticed whenever I do exercise for a while, my left carotid artery pulsates so strongly it hurts. I got my bloodwork done earlier this month, I went to a cardiologist and lung doctor, and nothings wrong except I have costochondritis. I get a little lightheaded and a few headaches a week tho that might be genetic. Thanks

If you are very thin and not having sufficient nutrition and hydration, this can occur. The following steps may help: - Maintain a healthy weight as per your BMI - Keep yourself well hydrated (Aim to drink 3-4 liters/day) - Have a healthy and well balanced diet - Monitor your BP when you get lightheaded If the condition persists or worsens visit the cardiologist so that you can be examined and undergo investigations such as ECHO, thyroid profile, etc to find the underlying cause and have it treated accordingly.
