Laxatives usage
I recently discovered that i have hypothyroidism where my T3 and T4 are normal, but TSH is 9.2. As a result of hypothyroidism, i have constipation, stomach bloating, gas in lower abdomen for almost 2 months, and due to constipation, i had a anal fissure, which is now healing. I am now on thyroid medication. My doctor has advised that my constipation will cure as soon as my thyroid gets under control. Since i have constipation and a healing fissure, i use 12-13ml of duphalac laxative to keep my stools soft. Is it safe to use duphalac for 2 months continuously?

There’s no harm in using laxative for 2 months, but try to reduce the dosage eventually and switch to high fibre diet meanwhile
