Known case of PCOD
I have been prescribed 10mg sotret OD for mild to moderate acne after receiving mild benefits from benzoyl peroxide. Is it safe to use this drug as I am a known case of PCOD and concentrating on reducing my weight?

Acne is a manifestation of the hormonal disturbance caused by the PCOD. It is due to clogged pores which block the normal sebum secretion by the skin over the face, Weight loss is a cornerstone of management of PCOD and it can be clubbed with all other treatments. If you doubt whether your current treatment of acne is beneficial, try it and see or meet another dermatologist
