Knowledge on tuberculosis
Sir, my son is two years and a half months old, he was given BCG vaccine after two or three days of his birth. But now his mother is suffering from TB. my doubt is if it spread through milk to her baby? And another question is does my baby have one more BCG vaccine for his safety?

Hi thanks for writing to Practo.  It's important to know whether mother had TB when she was pregnant or when she delivered.  If not then don't worry, . As baby is 2 1/2 years beast feeding should be anyways stopped. And babies screening has to be done, to find whether child is affected, and has to be protected by giving prophylaxis. Second dose of BCG is not required.
