Knee joints pain
My mother is 70 kgs and suffers from hypothyroidism she is taking thyronorm 100 mcg and calcium tablets. She has pain in her knees. Recently during outdoor tour she picked stiff rt. knee. She is unable to fold her knee and finds difficult in sitting .kindly suggest any treatment .

Hi.. Your mother should continue the treatment for Hypothyroidism.... Weight reduction should be done. .....Rest the joint, and take a break from your usually activities involving the knee joint.....Applying ice can help with pain and inflammation.....compression bandage can help prevent swelling and help knee alignment. It should not be tight and should be removed at night.....Elevation can help with swelling and resting of the knee.....
