Knee injury
Hi. Actually I fall down frm steps 1 month bfr . now it's getting locked while getting down from bed while standing ..it pains while it gets locked .. Now I cnt Handel this any more ... Pls advice me what should I do next.

An mri scan is needed in your case for sure. Get a consult from an arthroscopy surgeon.

locking symptoms in knee is more associated with meniscus injury, avoid knee bending movements, wear knee brace, consult orthopedic surgeon get evaluated by clinical examination Xray is normal here

Thanks for asking me to respond. It's likely that you have a torn meniscus resulting from the fall. The loose flap of meniscus often causes locking of the knee joint. You need to visit an ortho surgeon who can prescribe you meds to bring your pain down. He may also offer an MRI of the knee to establish the diagnosis. I cannot prescribe meds as Practo prohibits me from doing so.
