Oral corticosteroids are given only for acute exacerbation of the condition. Local application of corticosteroid creams are also helpful. Oral antihistamines like cetirizine are the mainstay of treatment. Anti-inflammatory enzymes tablets and Vitamin D could also be supplemented.
