I had dandroff like particles on my eyelid for years. But from 5-6 weeks i havebeen feeling itching on eyelids and dandroff is not there since then. Please suggest me what is this and do I need to see a doctor.

White scally deposit on lid like dandruff is called squamous blepharitis leading to thickness of eye lid, fall of eye lashes ,redness & itching of eye due to allergic reaction to these materials. This scally deposit is soluble in sodium bicarbonate( mitta soda).take a glass of water in bowel( katora),put a pinch of mitta soda along with small amount of cotton& boil it,& let it cool to bearable temperature & wash eye lids with cotton in front of glass ,lids will be cleaned because dandruff material is soluble in mitta soda, let the lids dry& apply optithrocin eye ointment & oflo BM eye ointment 3-4 times in day on lid margin with clean index finger. You should do it daily at least for month then alternate days & gradually decreasing the frequency. For dandruff in scalp you should use Nuforce Anti lotions( shampoo) available on Medical shop at once week.
It is called blepharitis
1. Hot fomentation three times a day
2. Both eyes - refresh tears eye drops 4 times a day - 1 bottle
3. Ocupol eye ointment - rub on eyelid margin at night for 3 months
