Is this IBD? Fecal calprotectin 128
I've been having loose stools 3 to 4 times a day for the past 4 months. Some severe days even 6 times, not watery but loosely formed urgent and it makes me feel sick nauseous while passing stools. I'm under GI care, they've put me on two courses of 2 weeks rifaximin, two courses of 3 days cefixime and antispasmodics in these 3 months. I've felt better when I'm on antibiotics and sucralfate but when stopped I get loose stools again. Endoscopy done in august showed pan gastritis and non specific jejunitis in DBE biopsy. Last week got admitted feeling lightheaded, fecal calprotectin was 128, CRP is normal. Did CT enterography which was normal. That's when they gave that 2nd course cefixime, now after a week again loose stools started, they said next I have to go for colonoscopy. CT normal then why colonoscopy? I don't have blood in stools nor going 6 times a day, can this still be IBD? I've read that IBD symptoms can be worse, can you have mild symptoms and still have IBD? Kindly help!
