Is there any specific reason for pain behind left eye?

I am a 25-year-old male and I have an ear infection caused by poorly maintained earphones. I am being treated for it now and I want to know about the best antibiotics for an ear infection that is available in the market. Would you recommend it to me or must I ask my ENT before I consume it?
