Is there any normal size of mesenteric lymph nodes
Hi my brother is 42 year old, he recently had gastroenteritis and was hospitalised because there was too much pain. They had performed ct scan wherein they found that the mesenteric lymph nodes were enlarged. What were those lymph nodes and why they got enlarged? what is the normal size of these nodes? What treatment shoud he take for this?

Any infection in abdomen can give rise to nesenteric lymph node enlargement. If they are enlarged more than 1 cm and necrotic we need to investigate more. Consult with CT report and blood test
