Is surgery required for Keratoconous?

Asked for Female, 30 Years

I am 30 yrs old female. My ophthalmologist told me that I'm suffering from an eye condition called Keratoconous. And I need to undergo a surgerical procedure to control it. Another doc told me that post 25 yrs this condition stabilises, so surgery is not required. Please help me understand the right treatment.

if it is correctable with glasses it is well and good .it usually starts in adolescent age and increases upto 25 to 30 yrs of age , surgery is required if it increases to the extent of very low vision not correctable by glasses. the surgery done is a very major surgery (penetrating keratoplasty ie cornea transplantation )so go to a tertiary eye centre
