It depends on many factors.
For open surgery retrocecal is a bit difficult one but for laproscopic it doesnt matter.

Yes. It is an emergency condition. If if the pain is not present right now, it can recurr anytime severely and would require immediate surgery. So better to go for elective surgery when you know it is appendicitis.
