Is keratosis pilaris itchy

I haVE keratosis pilaris. They are primarily around cheeks and forearms. I am under best treatment for curing this disease but I can’t help wonder if those red and white acne-like bumps itch or hurt. Does someone know if keratosis pilaris is itchy?
