Iron deficiency anemia
Is it okay that my doctor prescribed iron dextran to correct my iron deficiency anemia due to dietary cause? Or other options available like total iron storage are low and vegetarian diet no meat and rest all causes were excluded with testes so please let me know

Hi; Yes, you can take iron dextran as prescribed by your doctor. When you try to take through diet, it takes a lot of time for the iron to get absorbed into blood. Hence we prefer injection
