After we chew food, is it normally expected to go down the food pipe by itself or do we have to swallow the morsel after chewing?

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Our body is an amazing piece of engineering created by god. When you chew and when you are about to swallow, automatically the opening of the wind pipe gets closed therefore food passes only in the wind pipe. Suppose sometimes by mistake a small piece of food particle goes in the wind pipe, automatically there will be explosive coughing to push it out. So you need not think much about it. Just enjoy your food. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
